What if… Monsters are real but walk really careful so they don’t mess anything up so we don’t know they were there!? By now this idea must already be a cliche, but whatevs… To avoid any Copyright thingys, this is called The Eye of A Tiger, with an emphasis on the “A”… Thought about this, seemed like a great idea, then midway through realized that I had to draw a tiger, bollocks! Been hard to update with something new, sunny days and partys been keeping me quite busy… But I wanted to do a quick sketch/animation of something that went through my head the other day while waiting for a friend of mine! While I was waiting for him, sitting on the curb, I remembered summer nights when I waited for my aunt to pick me up so I could go play with my cousins, and how that seemed to last forever!! But, as soon as I was picked up, time went flying… Stupid clocks…
Been difficult to upload something new, being away and all, but at last, I have the chance to update… Has a BMX addict I did something that annoys everyone that rides, the “sunny all day, except when you need it”… Seems like a conspiracy of some sort against me, since when I’m in school, the sun is out and high, almost hot enough to fry eggs on the sidewalk, but has soon as I step out of the classroom, SHAZAAM… Rain, thunder, lightning, hell on earth gets unleashed and the waters rise up to our knees from the rain… Screw it, I think I’m changing to Rafting…
Been away for a few days and as such I’ve not been able to post anything new.. Away and with no way to connect to the interwebs, I turned to my magicscreen smartphone of the latest human created technology available on the planet we call Earth, and lord oh lord… It sucks… Plus, the only image I have on it, apart from food photos I take to post on instagram, its an old drawing I did, and I mean old as in Stan Lee old, to go with a logo for a store who had a slogan or catch phrase called “Lucky Biker”… I thought, a mangled bike would go nice with that! Was I wrong?
In an effort to help out a friend, I ended up going deep in Poland history, which I must say, was not all bad… It started with me, a bag of cheetos, “Adventure Time”, and a whole lot of cheese on my keyboard and mouse… Then, a friend that was studying abroad, in Poland to be precise, Kraków, hit me on facebook chat, asking me to draw a quick sketch of Lajkonik, to which I replied “aight”.. ‘Cuz I be gangsta sometimes! Anyhow, what the hell is Lajkonik I thought! After some research, I found it was cool character, a kind of symbol of the city, and a mascot for the festivals… But what really sold me, was the fact that he has a cardboard or wooden horse!! How cool is that? Got me all Monty Python ebejeebies.. Ended up doing this little guy!
I once met a girl, who I just loved from start, we used to spend hours talking, almost until the sun come up literally, getting to know each other… Between laughs and some more serious conversations, I fell hard for this girl, into “ring of fire” as Johnny Cash would put it, and it has been three bumpy years, but love conquers all, and here we are for many years to come…
But who am I to be here telling you a sentimental and truthfully heart warming story? Among many other passions, Erica, ma’ boo, loves Classical Music, and in a night we were far from each other, I thought about representing “Fur Elise” letters from Beethoven for his girlfriend, to her… In solitaire ambient, sad and missing her.. Beethoven, not me! I was happy that I learned how to make gifs in Photoshop! 😀
What is it that comes to mind when Handlebar Mustache is a topic of discussion…? Either it is Motorhead or some stupid image like the one above! Mustaches were a trend when I did this, some years back, and I felt sad and angry I couldn’t rock a furry mustache back then, but nowadays, I look like a trendy homeless man, just the way babes like it… BOOYA!
I have many new illustrations, but I just couldn’t pass on posting some of my old stuff… And this, is something that was born out of hatred and red wine, me like it! Just to show that something good(ish) can come out of something bad, had the idea while I was still at the bar, when I got home, I spent the rest of the night on the drawing, listening to Celine Dion, and eating Hägen Das ice cream with the biggest spoon I could find, crying like a sissy… I REGRET NOTHING!!
